A woman with tenacity, confidence, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a distinct point of view when it comes to holistic beauty and wellness. Women that our founder, Jena Covello, admire most.

Ceramicist and designer Dina Nur Satti is inspired by the Somali and Sudanese traditions of her parents, where ceramics were a part of everyday life. Via her ceramics, Dina strives to deliver art that reflects cultures that are often overlooked. Meet Agent Woman, Dina Nur Satti.

Daily uniform: You can usually find me wearing something black and comfortable. I enjoy the sense of protection black clothing brings to a city like New York.

AM ritual: Lighting incense, turning on a meditative playlist, and putting on a long caftan or robe to make coffee.

PM wind down:A deep stretch after hours of making pieces in the studio and a good conversation with a friend about art, creativity, and purpose is what feeds me!

Feel-good song:Djorolen by Oumou Sangaré.

A mistake you’ve learned from: I’ve learned that when your art is your business, it’s important to prioritize maintaining a healthy relationship with it. For me, this means making sure that I only say yes to opportunities that feel aligned with the purpose behind my art. In the past, my people-pleasing nature would result in me getting burned out from undervaluing my work and time and saying yes to everything.

To your younger self: The most important relationship you have is the one with your intuition.

A wellness expert who has significantly helped you: I really resonate with Dr. Rosales Meza’s work. She holds a Ph.D. in counseling psychology and is a Xicana intuitive and healer who helps BIPOC women break away from colonial systems of oppression that exist in thought patterns and perspectives in nuanced ways. She really understands the importance of spiritual work in the path to holistic wellness, which is a huge part of my personal journey with ceramics.

Favorite wellness/beauty book: Sacred Plant Medicine: The Wisdom of Native American Herbalism by Stephen Harrod Buhner.

Go-to stress remedy: CBD andmassage. I need a lot of bodywork since I’m in the studio so much!

Three things you’re really into right now: I look to my friends in the beauty world for advice. My friend Gianna De La Torre of Wildling got me into Gua Sha and Kayla Jo, who is a makeup artist here in NYC, told me to incorporate hyaluronic acid and vitamin C into my beauty regimen.

Top 3Instagram accounts for inspiration: @rhiannonmgriego, @ihe.ohere, and @african_interior_design.

Your ultimate indulgence: Lounging around and doing nothing.
