Agent Woman

[ey-juhnt woo m-uh n]

adjective

A woman with tenacity, confidence, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Women that our founder, Jena Covello, admire most.

Known for her signature “dewy dumpling” highlighting technique (a radiant, lit complexion), makeup artist Nam Vo is a glowing vision. As a skincare fanatic, Vo honed her 3D highlighting muscle as a makeup artist at a strip club. And her hard work paid off. The luminous stunner works with Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Chrissy Teigen. Meet Agent Woman, Nam Vo.

Name: Name Vo

Instagram: @namvo

Job Description: Makeup artist, dewy dumpling

Muse: Yada Villaret, she's a friend, a sweetheart, and has the most beautiful canvas to paint.

Favorite city for inspiration: New York City

Dream client: Bella Hadid

Introvert or extrovert: Extrovert

Daily uniform: Right now, I am really into jumpsuits. I call them my "dumpling off-duty" look. I also wear a lot of black lace and plunging necklines.

Cats or dogs: Dogs, especially Pomeranians.

Theme song: Like a Virgin by Madonna.

AM ritual: I am on the celery juice bandwagon, so it’s nice to start there. Obviously, I DEW my 9-step skincare regime and while I’m putting on my makeup, I usually listen to Oprah’s podcast. Also, if the weather is nice out, then I skip to my local West Village coffees shop, Partners, sit there and I just love people watching.

PM wind down: Sometimes I take a puff of my Dosist pen in my favorite flavor, bliss. It helps to relieve stress.  I also like to listen to Liquid Mind music to relax. I try to get off my phone at least one hour before I go to bed, and of course, I find great joy in my skincare ritual, which changes all the time.

Greatest escape: I am lucky enough to travel so much for work, but to be honest, ironically, my favorite escape is my home in the West Village in New York. At this point in my career, staying home and sleeping in my own bed is a luxury. It’s a treat to sit in my apartment and rediscover New York City. I always say that if you are bored in NYC, you are boring. This city continues to excite me.

Secret skill: I have a photographic memory.

Biggest struggle: Being present. I am trying to be more mindful and spend less time on my phone.

Stress and anxiety management: To be honest, I am not very good at managing stress and anxiety. When something does come up that causes me stress, I try to make a conscious effort to breathe, not react, and I ask myself, “Does this really even matter” and usually it does not. Also, something that always makes me feel better is ice cream and a nice walk!
