So we just had to ask her about her must-have skincare and beauty items!
What’s your skincare and beauty routine?
My skin is naturally quite sensitive so when I find a product and routine that I love, I stick with it. My skincare routine incorporates products from Agent Nateur, Rationale, Emma Lewisham, and Dr Diamond’s Metacine. For beauty, I like to keep it simple and natural. Most recently, I’ve started using Agent Nateur’s SPF 50 Dewy Tinted Skin Drops. Above all else, SPF protection is most important to me in my entire routine.
What are your current favorite products?I’ve recently started using Agent Nateur’s Body Duo and my skin is LOVING IT! I saw Lauryn Bosstick post about it and she is a woman that I trust every word she says (and want to buy every product she posts!).
How do you prepare to look your best for a big event?I am a lymphatic drainage massage fanatic! I swear by them, and always ensure I book one prior to any big event. In addition to that, I always feel great post a hot Pilates class and an infrared sauna.
Are there any challenges to your beauty routine - work, home, travel etc? Have you ever made any lifestyle changes to support your wellbeing?
This year for me has really been about slowing down and being kinder to my nervous system. I previously wouldn’t hesitate to rush through my skin routine - the quicker the better, so I could move onto work. Now, I really enjoy slowing down for this part of my day. Taking my time whilst applying the product and really using this time to be present and still. It has been a game changer for me.
What’s your go-to healthy snack?Erewhon and Goop Kitchen are my second homes at this point - I order from either one of them every day. Goop Kitchen’s banana bread, in collaboration with Purely Elizabeth, is one of my favorite post-dinner snacks. I have a sweet tooth and this satisfies it.
When you were younger, who was your beauty icon? Who inspires you now?My mom and sister most certainly. They’re very much focused on natural beauty and embracing all of our natural features.
Any ‘tweakments’ (skincare and non-surgical) procedures you’d recommend or have planned for ‘one day’?I recently tried microneedling with PRP for the first time and am excited to try it again. I feel it may be slightly too early to comment on whether I’ve noticed any immediate improvements, I would like to do 3 consecutive treatments before I fully share what I think. I will say it didn’t hurt as much as I thought it may have - that’s always a plus!
What is your go to/ favorite beauty look to create and what inspired this look?My makeup artist in Los Angeles (@karinamorxoxo) has perfected my go-to look. Going back 2-3 years, I always opted for a heavier, more glamorous look. Karina showed me a different way and I’m never going back. It’s quite natural, and incorporates a lot of golden brown tones. Growing up in Australia, I am drawn to a sun-kissed glowy look. That is now my constant go-to.
Biggest beauty mistake?Tanning in the Australian sun as a teenager without a speck of sunscreen on, yikes!
And finally… what can you NOT do without? What’s the holy grail of the products you use?It would have to be my morning Holi Mane scoops in my smoothie. I have been taking this every single day for over 2 years now, and the difference I have noticed in my nails is what has really blown my mind. I never, ever thought I would be in a position to have beautifully long natural nails. Holi Mane has changed that for me. I have recently increased to x2 scoops as I can’t get enough of it!
