10 (More) Life-Changing Instagram Accounts to Follow Now
By Kerry Pieri
Like all things in life, social media has a light and dark side. Anyone can use their precious time to doom scroll, eliciting feelings of depression, sadness, anxiety, contributing to sleep loss, or any of the other host of issues studies suggest social media use can cause. In short, it can be a mental health minefield. So much so that Instagram itself suppressed likes in order to curb all that negativity. If you’re feeling the call to spend some downtime clicking hearts on Instagram, you can take control and curate your feed so that it uplifts you, educates you, or maybe even makes you laugh. What we allow into our consciousness is so important, it’s imperative that we are vigilant with what we read and watch daily. Here are nine accounts to get you started.
Some might consider him the OG of (now omnipresent) manifestation content. A researcher of epigenetics, quantum physics and neuroscience, Dr. Joe Dispenza released his first book in 2007, so while his messaging is nearly twenty-years in the making, it’s also constantly evolving. His teaching revolves around deconditioning and rewiring the brain. We find that having his quotes and videos show up in our feed is a welcome reminder to not allow ourselves to fall into old thought patterns, particularly while we’re in scroll-mode.
Yes, we’re including the very chic mom from Gossip Girl. We all love a little dose of style in our feeds, and Rutherford provides a nice balance of fashion inspiration with quotes about life and awareness from philosophers and thinkers that speak to her personally and provide an insightful punctuation between chic looks. Also, did you know that she used her own collection of Birkins to wardrobe her GG character? That’s called authenticity.
From mouth taping to gua sha’s many varied benefits, Briel provides easy-to-follow how-tos that don’t gatekeep. We wish she could come gua sha our faces for us every day, but in the meantime we’ll be following along for her myriad of techniques that provide unfailing efficacy. Her before and afters are truly remarkable.
The internet is awash in astrologers, so calling one out means that they’re truly special. Corsini does in-depth videos for each sign (or rising sign depending on what’s going on) around astrological events like new moons and eclipses that are often so spot-on it’s eerie. He also often does sign language along with his videos which is a lovely level of inclusivity.
We recently discovered Gabrielle Ayana, and her Instagram bio perfectly sums up her messaging—”helping. you. elevate.” The reels-based account is mainly Ayana speaking directly to camera and teaching people how to vibrate higher—and letting them know exactly what that means. We love seeing her pop up intermittently, but her videos are also well-worth a deep dive if you have the time.
With a Pilates-focused approach, Bartha creates easy-to-implement workout moves in reel format, using a few weights and a small workout Pilates ball. While she offers her own program, B the Method, you could do an entire series just by exploring her page. Many of her ideas keep strength-training in mind, a major necessity as women age.
Weist has sold over 2 million books and counting, so perhaps you’ve already heard of her. She regularly asks difficult questions like, “In what ways are the doorways of opportunity outlining themselves along the closed walls of your perception, and what courage might you need to muster in order to realize that this very moment contains within it the unlikely entryway to what you’ve been asking for all along?” She challenges and inspires and her words feel more like channeled messages than standard self-help fare.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or tapping is a powerful tool. Reese Evans claims to, “Help high achievers feel empowered and reach their highest potential,” so while she is creating with entrepreneurs in mind, her reels can help anyone approach their days from a positive mindset and overall rewire the brain. Tapping has been proven to help with sleep, pain, and overall well-being. To note: Tap with Brad is also a great resource if you’re looking for a more holistic tapping experience.
Dr. Tyna Moore is a naturopathic and chiropractic physician who is an expert in metabolic health, menopause and perimenopause—which are widely under-recognized issues that affect women and are too often dealt with poorly by Western medicine. She speaks to dealing with these issues day-to-day, from weight lifting to supplementation and practices what she preaches (in a wonderfully candid approach).
Avi Sherbill is a sound and frequency healing expert. His account offers actual healing sounds, as well as inspired information and data around the energetics of frequency. From boosting your immune system to getting a dopamine high, Sherbill regularly proves how sound is an incredibly important, and often overlooked, aspect of our daily “diets” — everything from the food to the media that we ingest.
