Agent Man: Will Cole

Agent Man

[ey-juhnt man]

adjective

A man with tenacity, confidence, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a distinct point of view when it comes to holistic beauty and wellness. Men that our founder, Jena Covello, admire most.

Functional medicine doctor, author, and wellness connoisseur, Dr. Will Cole, is keenly focused on promoting health and optimal function. So what does that mean? His services are not intended to substitute or replace those of a medical doctor, but are created to work in conjunction. Pittsburgh-based, yet works with patients across the nation, here, Cole shares some of his rituals, lessons learned, and necessary indulgences.

Name: Dr. Will Cole

Instagram: @drwillcole

Beauty Icon:  My good friends, Elle Macpherson and Gwyneth Paltrow, for embracing and promoting clean beauty and wellness for themselves and every other person.

Favorite city for inspiration:  Scottsdale, AZ for its stillness, sun, and nature. It’s endlessly inspiring and calming to be fully present in the quiet beauty of the desert.

Introvert or extrovert: I would call myself an extroverted introvert. I love socializing with my friends, but I also enjoy my alone time to recharge at the end of the day.

Daily uniform: I love my Sporty and Rich hoodie for casual weekends at home and I wear H&M and Uniqlo during the workweek for casual and comfortable, yet still professional attire.

AM ritual: I start every day with a cup of earl gray tea with bergamot and intermittent fasting until lunch. The combination of fasting and earl gray tea with bergamot helps to reduce inflammation and enhance autophagy, my cell’s self-cleaning process.

PM wind down: Turning my phone on silent and hanging out with my wife, kids, and two goldendoodles.

Secret skill: I can speak Hebrew decently.

Best Advice you’ve ever received: Don’t compare yourself to others and stay in your own lane.

A mistake you’ve learned from: When I didn’t follow my intuition, anything I tried was never truly sustainable. I’ve learned that listening to my gut ultimately produces the best results and most success.

To your younger self: Don’t stress out or be anxious for nothing.

A wellness expert who has significantly helped you: Dr. Alejandro Junger, Dr. Terry Wahls, and Dr. Axe.

Favorite wellness/beauty book: I’m very proud of my books, Ketotarian and The Inflammation Spectrum. I have also been really into The Angel and The Assassin, which is all about the microglial cells of the brain.

Three things you’re really into right now: My Peloton, palo santo, and getting enough quality sleep.
