Nateur Cooking with Paola Atlason: Paola’s Cacao Tahini “Goddess Smoothie”

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring. It’s still possible to indulge in your favorite foods, while nourishing your body at the same time. Here we share clean versions of delicious recipes that will leave you feeling and looking incredible and not to mention, insanely satisfied!

Job description: Holistic Nutritionist / Transformational Coach

Favorite dish to serve at a dinner party: A simple dish that looks impressive is Boeuf Bourguignon. I make the OG Julia Child recipe with the pearl onions and all. It’s always a hit, decadent and delicious and it practically cooks itself. Paired with a crisp leafy green salad, fantastic.

Favorite skin food ingredient and why: I believe in getting all of your essential micro nutrients from food. Building your meals with my “Ideal Plate” template of cooked veggies, raw veggies, protein and beneficial fats will guarantee a happy body and a youthful glow.

Top three Instagram accounts for inspiration: @cabincorn for the most beautiful food and process, @kerrilynpamer for serenity and lifestyle inspo, and @alwayshungryinlondon for the home made food of my dreams.

Must-have cookbook: Marcella Hazan’s “Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking”, it’s the bible filled with technique and intuitive, ingredient based cooking.

Three kitchen supplies you can’t live without: My Beast Health blender (it makes smoothies like milkshakes), my Global chef’s knives, and my little Breville toaster oven, I cook everything in it.

Three things you always keep in your refrigerator: Fresh homemade cashew and Brazil nut milk for my Goddess Smoothie, a variety of veggies I can quickly roast, and good hot sauce, it  makes everything better.

Favorite online shop for kitchen supplies and / or specialty food items: Burlap and Barrel for the most beautiful spice, CAPbeauty for their Matcha Togarashi and Dark Horse Organics smoky Tamari (Addictive), and my local health food shop The Health Nuts for all the “weird” healthy stuff like spirulina and raw cacao.

Go-to quick, healthy meal: Lunch is always the meal that wants to get away, so in my fridge I always keep a roasted veg like zucchini or carrots, a protein like hard boiled eggs or smoked salmon, and a fresh head of lettuce I can grab and go. Wrap these in toasted nori, top with a little hot sauce or sauerkraut and I’m good to go.

Favorite healthy treat: A double decaf espresso over ice with a dollop of coconut cream.

Skincare mantra: Do less, achieve more.

Eat this recipe for: A perfectly balanced, quick, delicious and nutritious breakfast.
